Survived ACEN, even if I had my cranky moments over the weekend.  It was a busy time, as I was helping out at the Daisuki booth for ACP two of the days. Which split up my time with friends quite considerably.  I didn't end up wearing King Endymion on Friday like I hoped, which did make me a little upset...but what can you do?  I at least wore Aisha during my shift at the booth.  Got to talk to various people while handing out informational cards and talking about the shows that Daisuki is offering.  Ended up talking to the fabulous people of Foam Corps due to Erin's crazy Nightmare Moon armor.  Turns out they were doing Soul Calibur as well on Saturday!  Somehow, we had zero overlap with characters. I have no idea how.  But they were excited that we were another Soulcal group and wanted to meet up with us.

Spent Friday night finishing up my costume so I could close it and actually wear it. Early bed time after some skit practice (everyone practiced very hard, I just had a simple role so I could finish my costume and join in at the very end).  Saturday morning we had our skit review, John thanked us for coming back after last year's fun and we were glad to be back. Skit run through went well.  Then back to the room to change into Jigen for my other shift at Daisuki where times were busy, I got to chat with other people again, then run away (or hobble, as my feet were killing me) while eating a cold cheeseburger back to our room to change into Xianghua.

Changed into Xianghua for judging, got judged. Did a short photoshoot with ~BreakPointZGFX so I actually have good photos of my costume.



Ended up winning 1st Runner Up for Performance for our skit! I give credit to V and Ell for all their hard work.  We were so glad to win something!  Oh, we did get a "Glutton for Punishment" award from John for returning back as a group from last year.  So technically we were "award winning" before we even won an award!

I've got many things to tweak on Xianghua before she's worn again in July.  I'll be cutting the wig shorter, as it ended up being too long. Worked for a trial run however.

Went to the BRBU party, drank ~iamatmyhouse's pee. Very tasty. Watch out, sniper piss can taste delicious.  Eventually met up with the Foam Corp people (social networking for the win) and hung out with them talking for quite awhile until I needed to go to bed.

Sunday was Mitsuru. I apparently forgot how to have good facial expression, so there are probably grumpycatmitsuru pictures floating about on the internet. I was exhausted/tired/warm, so it unfortunately came out in my face. :\  However, I now have a new shirt, gunbelt and completed boots now for my costume. So outside of a rapier, I can finally say that she's 100% done!  Er, minus taking in my skirt a teeny bit.

More misadventures on Sunday trying to get food at McD's with *fataleflare, wrong orders, over heating, etc.  However, I now have taken a picture as Mitsuru in McD's.  Also got to drive through a bad rain storm, have another McD's screw up (but less minor than the other one), and just have a long ass drive home.

Now I'm finally home, comfy, and looking at the mess I have to clean up that I made before ACEN.  Good times.
